AWEB Supply was founded in 1984 by Alan Watts. Alan is an IGSHPA Accredited Installer and Certified Geo-Exchange Designer. Alan was bitten by the “geothermal bug” in 1981 when owning and operating a mechanical contracting company and has been dedicated to the industry ever since.
AWEB initially began its’ operation as a geothermal equipment and supply distributor. AWEB’s main focus has always been keeping geothermal simple and always doing what is in the best interest of the geothermal / geo-exchange project and the end user!
AWEB developed and is responsible for the design, manufacture and distribution of the Slim Jim®/Geo Lake Plate® technology - surface water heat exchangers that are compact and labor friendly – since 1999.
Slim Jim® and Geo Lake Plate® open up simple, cost effective opportunities where ponds, lakes, rivers, oceans or other waterways can be utilized in conjunction with water cooled equipment.
Slim Jim® and Geo Lake Plate® have become widely accepted within the industry with numerous applications across North America and Canada as well as other parts of the world.
- Our largest US application to date is Nashville International Airport
- The largest application of its kind outside North America is in England at Kings Mill Hospital.
