Serenbe Community Project

Construction site with a pond, rocks, and a excavator in a residential neighborhood with houses and trees in the background.

Serenbe Community’s Mission: We conserve energy by facilitating geothermal, solar and net zero homes. We conserve water by landscaping and naturally treating our wastewater for ornamental irrigation. We value nature, our children and our elders.

The project for the Serenbe Community in Georgia was extremely unique, and involved installing a custom100 Ton array of Slim Jim® lake plates.

The developers based every facet of Serenbe’s design on traditional values and the principles of environmental sustainability. From methods of construction and the organic produce grown on-site, to the commitment to protecting the environments and renewable energy initiatives, the community strives to be a model for a new type of residential neighborhood.

The master plan for Serenbe employs a method of arranging the community which requires minimal land disturbances and allows the community to reserve large areas of undeveloped green space.
